Pre- Primary Class

The curriculum for TLC is organized into a spiral of integrated studies,  rather than a traditional model in which the curriculum is compartmentalized into separate subjects.  Our curriculum gives TLC children the opportunities to do the things that their parent(s) do at home. Through out their stay at TLC the children are exposed to an integrated thematic approach that ties the separate disciplines of the curriculum from concrete to abstract.


     Practical Life: Developing everyday living skills.      Sensorial Exploration of the senses that            promotes knowledge of colors, textures, and            shapes.
     Language The language curriculum is built on            phonics which introduces reading, word            building, creative writing and grammar.
     Math Unified math using hands on learning            materials that make abstract concepts clear            and concrete.
     Science Learning and developing knowledge of            living things, matter, energy, space and time.
     Geography Talking and learning about the things            we need in life such as food, water, shelter, parts            of the world and their cultures.
     Tender Loving Care pre-primary Montessori            students also explore art,  music, drama and            movement. Older students are introduced to            computer skills.

Toddler

There are two classes for the toddlers program ages 16 mos. to 24 mos. and 24 mos. - 38 mos. Both toddlers program focus on practical life exercises, sensory, exploration and vocabulary enrichment to help students acquire a sense of order, sequence and independence.  The program purpose is to assist the toddler during their separation from home. The nurturing that is provided in TLC helps our children explore and experience at their own pace social, physical and cognitive level in an indoor and outdoor environment.
